Here in Luke 17 verses 11 to 19 we find 10 lepers coming to Jesus for healing. They knew that they had a need of healing from this terrible disease. In the scripture leprosy is an emblem for the disease of sin. In the sermon Dr Needham considers this. Jesus gave these 10 lepers specific instruction that they should report to the priest. Our Lord tests their obedience. Dr Needham then brings two surprises to our attention with both provoking subjects for deep consideration. In both of these surprises there is much not just for thought but also for application and guidance throughout our lives.
